Posting Guidelines; Dial-Up Users Beware: Big Pics

Post by Admin » Tue Nov 05, 2002 1:29 pm

This forum allows readers to post pictures of their silent/quiet PC projects. All new posts in this forum should contain pictures of your silent PC project, along with a brief description. (or, a detailed description, depending on how in-depth you want to get). Comments about specific PCs should be posted as replies to that thread.

If you want to post pictures of your rig, but don't have web space to host them, please send a PM and we'll work out a way for you to display your pictures. Please note that 99% of all ISPs provide at least 5MB of web space for their users, so when in doubt, please check with your ISP to see what they offer.

DIALUP USERS NOTE: Pics here are allowed to be larger in size than in the rest of the forums. As of Aug 4, 2008, up to 800 pixel wide pics are acceptable in this forum. Smaller files are preferable, however.

Users with especially interesting, unique or Just Plain Cool PCs may be asked to write up a more complete description of their PC for our main page. This is, of course, optional. :)

Note caution to dialup users about big photos in this forum and new pic size guidelines.

You might want to recommend image hosting sites such as www.imageshack.us that provide "click to enlarge" thumbnails and provide the BBCode to insert into the forum. Takes care of dial up users, readability, hosting needs and makes the process more convenient.
