Yup! I like the zalman look in my case too. I agree, cept that the flower gets covered by a fan Asthetically, I would go for the 7000CU just cause it would be neater, but the weight issue has me worried, if they ever make it with bolt through fitting's I'd get one in an instant!

Do not fear the 7000Cu. Got one in my machine, love it. Probably best not to accelerate the box in excess of 3g with the heatsink in place, but that's good advice for any machine, Zalman-equipped or no.

may i ask what type of graphics card is the one pictured with the nb32j heatsink? how does the new combo work?

Oh yeah, forgot to put the specs :

- Zalman CNPS6000-Cu on a Athlon 1700XP+ T-BredB / Asus A7V333
- Zalman ZM-NB32J on an Excalibur Radeon 9000Pro in replacement of the screamer on the left (I never tought such a small fan can make that noise)

So, the installation on the graphic card was easy, mainly because the previous HS+F was fixed using the 'standard' chipset holes and a very small amount of thermal grease.

I havent measured any temperatures on the graphic card, but, the heatsink is a little hot to touch after desktop use. Not (re)installed games yet.

wow that motherboard has the processor slot rotated 90° from the standard.... wish I had it, would sure help cooling with my fortron PSU.

... and I wish that I have it normally so that I can cool it with my 120mm exhaust fan (with a duct 'à la' Rusty) and remove the up fan ...

I just realised that the memory chips on my radeon were labelled 'Etrontech'. If you decompose, you've got 'Etron' and 'Tech.

I suppose everybody knows what 'Tech' is for (Technologies).

For the non-french speaking persons out there, 'Etron' is means ... 'shit' (in the most primitive form of the term). Wonderful name, in fact.

Reminds me of Volkswagon, which in japanese sounds quite terrible, and roughly translates to "brokedown crappy wagon". I wonder how their sales are in Japan (if any?).

Has anyone tried to use a 120mm fan attached to the side of the case to blow over that CPU sink?

Short : Yes.

Long : You may want to have a look at Rusty's in desk PC.

For me, it didn't worked good because the zalman flower is perpendicular to the fan exhaust, so I reached 70-80°C that way on an XP1800+.
Otherwise I could use a 120mm-fan PSU, but I have a normal nexus so it won't work ...
