Nothing special compared to my previous build, so just a single pic of the new setup. Really didn't get the HD4870 adjusted to my liking (the constant change of rpm just did not suit me) so changed that to a GTX260 along with the mobo for a Asus P5N-T Deluxe and CPU to an Intel Xeon X3220.

Cabling isn't completely done (the cabling for case fans needs to be done better), but here's a pic anyway.

It looks more like a toaster that's been left on for a few days.

That's a PC Power&Cooling 750w PSU, right? How does the fan sound to you on it?

That is correct.

Well, it is not completely silent, but it is quieter than the GTX260 so it does not matter that much. I can hear the fan if I stop the fan on the graphics card, but the noise it makes is not at all irritating. It doesn't ramp noticeably under load with the current setup.

Although the GTX260 is the loudest component in the setup, luckily it is not at all irritating unlike the HD4870 was. Considering I don't use the setup for anything else than gaming (for everything else I use my laptop), the low humm doesn't really matter.

Yeah, I had purchased one and found the fan to be anything but "Silent." Ended up getting an Enermax Modu82+ 625w PSU. I gave up on the spaghetti mess of cables the PC P&C had.

My computer room has oak floors and plaster walls, so I'm sure every last little squeek would be clearly audible in any corner :) That or I'm just very picky... ;)

Congrats & Enjoy your nice build :)

Yeah, it doesn't quite live up to it's name.

Been considering the Enermax or a Corsair HX620 myself too. Also been waiting for more reviews of Antec Signature series.

The cabling on the PC P&C I don't mind, especially when using the bottom fan it is actually better for all the cables to be attached (modular ones would be attached about to the middle of the PSU which would get very close to the fan).

Thank you, and you are not picky. After all, this is SILENTpcreview.com :)
