Very different considering the demanding hardware inside. My friend also wanted to have the possibility of having two drives instead of one and he wanted a more stable HDD-mounting compared to my first Chieftec mod. That's why we choose to construct the "high airflow cage". I like it a bit more due to more secure och stable drives and parallel to the ground.
I don't really believe that a non-parallel mounting is that harmful to the drives but let's face it, parallel mounting looks much better.
The old hardware was a challenge to setup right and tidy, IDE cables are really short and the motherboard have strange positions for the main ATX cable and CPU-power connector.
The results are nice though, quite low temps on both graphics, cpu and motherboard. Noisewise it's a bit more quiet than my friends dampened P180 with 4 undervolted Nexus RS, Noctua cpucooler and passively cooled graphics. The loudest component is the TT fan which whines a bit at a feet from the user.
The funny thing is that the dampening really is packing material I got with my roland synth, works like wonders.
