Built this months ago but couldn't find my silentPCreview account activation
Antec Solo II case, store display model, half-off. Included fan.
4th gen haswell i5 4670k, using integrated graphics.
Gaia tower direct pipe cooler with included fan.
Samsung 840 pro 256g SSD.
ASUS z87-A MB (i had a PCI card I wanted to reuse)
Rosewill silentNight 500 fanless PSU
16GB (2x8) corsair memory
the psu is perfect, it vents out to top vent of the antec case. the case fan is on the back as exhaust, the heatsink fan is on the front side of the heat sink pulling in air through the front of the case.
windows 8.1.
I did this because I homre record, and got tired of moving the old rig into the closet, and hanging up blankets, etc.
I think it's totally silent. the fans are prbably running around 600 rpm under load, i haven't tried to stress it.
Ran a basic asus overclock calibration on the CPU. In the pic below, the SSD goes vertically along the frame, at the bottom. nothing else in the bays, so overkill in a way.
hmm, went to attach a pic but the "board attachment quota has been reached".
