Interesting mATX case
So I stumbled across this little guy at NewEgg yesterday. I've read that Acrylic has useful sound dampening properties, and this claims to take a standard ATX PSU. Thoughts?
I'd be worried about the cooling properties of Acrylic. Anandtech did a round up of Acrylic cases. I can't say that I was terribly impressed with the results. They were rather warm and considerably loud. Granted they were reviewed with non-quiet products, but considering the temperatures achieved with presumably normal-speed fans, I'd be hesitant to ever use an acrylic case for silent PCs.
I dislike the 60mm exhaust on the back, that's pretty lmiting in terms of fan selection. I suppose you could cut another 60mm hole next to that one, which would give you more exhaust CFM. Or just use the 80mm intake to do a positive pressure setup. (reducing dust may be a good idea with a clear case anyway)
