Sound damping Material for a muffler

Post by Stryder57 » Sun Jan 05, 2003 9:58 am

Hello,

Can any one give me their impression on what sound damping material is best suited for the PC.

I plan to use it to dampen the case and to build muffler from it. The mufflers will be use for a front intake, Rear fan and power supply.
I have tried Dynamate like material. I was only partiallly effective. It really only took care of rattle and vibration of the case. It didn't do much for the sound of the HD, CPU fan and PSU fan.

Thanks :D
Scott

Have a look at this thread - http://forums.silentpcreview.com/forums ... php?t=2651

and look up http://www.muffledcomputing.com/ -- they manufacture what you're thinking of.
