I have been a lurker for a while and had time today to finally register and post something =)
A place with a wide variety of any kind of material needed is Mcmaster-Carr. They sell everything that a production plant could ever use (emergency glucose packs to high viscosity backlit rotameters). There may exist lower prices locally, but they have the advantage of having everything. You can get everything from one place. Their shipping is reasonable.
