I'm almost positive that the case inputs and wires must be at the 2.0 standard, or else case manufaturers wouldn't offer it as an upgrade/improvement. Unless you mean the actual inputs don't matter and just use the right wires from the headers to the inputs like Jim was suggesting it may just be a wire thing, but he wasn't sure. In that case I guess I'd just have to buy the wires.
Thanks

Nice. Heck, you ought to buy a number of those intake covers and sell them pre-modded, I'd buy one. I'd want the hex mesh thoughmnpctech_guy wrote:Jim sent me one of these cases to kick around some mod ideas.. Heres one mod I've applied so far that improved intake flow. The 5/32" mesh allows for 60% flow.

Sweet mod
And you were right, its good for 2C in my case under load....so Ill do it.
I just finished setting up a LX-6A19 with a layer of dense dampner and melamine, have 2 Antec sensor 120mm fans frt/bck running at 7volts and a hybrid PS. The case of a FPS350PN60 with 120mm fan and super quiet setting ( I moved the temp circuit over) and the GUTS of a NEXUS with huge heatsinks I got last year (luv it, super stable). The fan doesnt fit inside, so it is on the outside of the PS case. Under load with barely a peep of sound case is 33C and CPU (1800XP Tb @ 2.1G, 512M pc2100, GF3ti200 250/480 on a K7S5A) is 46C. I have a Tt 80mm CPU fan on lowest setting that MB fan sensor will see...2600rpm, it is the source of any remaining fan noise. At 7V the Antecs are mighty quiet... will Panaflo's be more silent enough to be worth the $?
Very happy, case was $55 shipped, supplies another $50, fans $25

"However, I do currently have my D8000 case plugged into my USB 2.0 connector on my motherboard and it does work with my 1.0 devices."
I want to plug in the connector to my MB (Intel D845PEBT2), But I want to make sure I have the right connection before I take the chance. On the schematics all the wires line up except that when it comes to the two red wires, number one lines up with zero and zero to number one on the other red wire. Is this ok? Both reds are for power and they both line up to the power pins on the MB, but the red one with the triangle goes to pin zero on the board instead of number one.
Is it safe? And will it work properly?
Thanks!

The rails screw onto the drives, then the whole assembly is slid into the drive bay and the rails snap into the front of the case. It's the same system that is used in the Antec SX6xx, SX8xx, Sx10x0 and all the Chieftec/Chenming clones.mudboy wrote:I just emailed coolcases about a D8000. How are the optical drives mounted? Do they use screw-in rails like the Antec SX series? Anyone have a picture of the optical drive rails?
Thanks

Here's a picture of the SLK3700 accesories from Neweggs' site. See the drive rails? The shiny, chrome plated ends go towards the front of the drive and snap into the front case wall.

Just got my SLK3700 after a few weeks wait. Dremeled the fangrills and chopped up holes for fan isolators. Packed it full of Acoustipack and jammed in a brand new Zalman ZM400. Turned it on and: ahhh, the sweet sound of........a PSU that clicks!!!! Ahhhrghhh. I've bought a faulty PSU. That problem aside, its a very nice case. Very well laid out and easy to assemble. its not dead silent, but I do have 4 HDDs in it
