Hello folks.

Would you be so kind as to share your thoughts and experiences regarding any of the following PC cases? (cool-friendly, quiet-friendly, etc.)

Evercase ECE4252
Antec Sonata
Antec SLK3700
D8000 by CoolCases.com

Anyone want to describe any problems with the airflow inside of the Antec Sonata that they may have known?

Thanks much!

Well, the Antec 3700 is certainly "cool-friendly" which means it goes a long way towards being "quiet-friendly" as well. The D8000 should be just as good as the 3700 because it is the 3700 with a different front bezel.

I'm real happy with my 3700. It's a big step above the Antec SX10x0/Chieftec case that we're all so used to. It has better ventilaton and uses 120mm fans front and back. This lets you use very low speed, very quiet 120mm fans to cool your case/hardware. This becomes the foundation for a very quiet system.

No first hand knowledge of the Sonata but users report less than stellar ventilation, apparently due to the restrictive front bezel and possibly the location of the front fan (mounted deep inside the case on the drive cage), as well as poor airflow management due to air leaking in through the series of "Antec" holes punched through both upper case walls.
