Antec 1080 improvements

I have just bought an antec case, the 1080 performance plus. I must say that after a first inspection i can find room for improvement.

There are two things that i'm about to deal with right away.

To mount the fans there are plastic holders, but even if you choose to remove them there are no holes for fan screws and to make new is somewhat problematic since there are mounting holes for the fan holders placed where you wold like to have new smaller holes for your fans

Second, the 3,5 cages leaves no room for grommeting at all, and to increase the width of them seems very problematic because of the way they are mounted and the overall sturdiness of them.

Is there anyone who have solved any of these problems, maybe even someone who has nice shiny pictures of their sleek solutions.
