Any word on Antec's NSK3400

I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything regarding the release date for Antec's NSK3400. This would be my first choice for a mid-performance build I'm planning for a friend. It's been talked about here on SPCR since before Christmas of last year, but still nothing from Antec other than this reply today: "As of right now there is no set release date. A few weeks before the case is released, you will see information of this enclosure on our website with detailed specifications like how our other enclosures have available on our website right now. Thank you for contacting Antec."
If anyone has any better insight as to when we will see this case, I'd sure love to hear it!
Thanks

Sorry I left that out, I'm in Vancouver, Canada. I haven't seen this case advertised anywhere in North America, but I have noticed it in Australian, Asian, and at least one European web-store's. I want the 3400 for the ability to change out the PSU, should I choose to at some time, however even the NSK3300 would likely suffice for the power requirements of the build I have in mind. I guess I just want the option, should an upgrade be needed down the road.

Quite funny it takes so long to be available in North America. I got my NSK3400 over 2 months ago.

Hi Erssa

I Have a spare seasonic S12 430 PSU and plan to use it with the NSK3400 when it becomes available.

I was wondering if there is enough space for 2 optical drives + PSU+ PSU Cables to Fit in the upper compartment?

Thanks
Talal

I'd have to say no.

A pic from my case. Just look how much cables you have to put under the optical with S12. If you decide to keep the extra cables in the top compartment, there's room for only 1 optical drive.

Wow!!

Thanx Erssa

Could you by any chance post a pic showing the clearance between the PSU and the optical drive (when the ODD is installed)
:)

Bear in mind that with that picture the optical drive is pulled forward from its normal position. With the original supply and pulling all the cabling out into the main section of case you'd just get two drives in, but it would be a fairly tight fit.

Actually: I'm thinking that i could cut the extra cables and only keep the ones that are going to be used, i'd like to know the clearance between the ODD and the power supply would allow the wiring to pass Down to the MB?

oh and both my Drives will Have Sata connection!

A pic. Bear in mind, that my optical is 180mm long. One of the longest opticals around. You can see the Ninja through the hole. The clearence between the psu and optical is 27 or 28 mm.

That gives a bit of a worrying insight into Antec: It appears they don't seem to know when they've launched a product...

well, it's been quite a while. i haven't seen the NSK3400 available for sale in the US yet. it's frustrating.

has anyone heard anything?

i'm about to start a new NSK3300 build but would happily switch to an NSK3400 if i could get one.

can an overseas retailer legally ship one to the US, and if so, can it be done at a reasonable cost?

I think it's the same as the NSK3400.

That's weird. The NSK3400 has been available in Denmark for just over 4 months now.

What about Fusion V2? Is that avaible in the US now? It has been available in Denmark for about a week now.

is Antec introducing a new mini-tower called the NSK 3480, or is this a typo/ error:

http://www.scorptec.com.au/product/22995/

This web site has the NSK 3300 and NSK 3400 listed as separate products:

http://www.scorptec.com.au/product/19534/
http://www.scorptec.com.au/product/21460/

Antec just recently posted a page detailing the NSK-3480 in their US site.

http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=93480

I compared both the spec and detail from both US and EU site and they seem to be similar.

So the NSK-3480 and NSK-3400 are basically the same.
