How is the Antec P160 case?

Enclosures and acoustic damping to help quiet them.

How is the Antec P160 case?

I can't find much information on this case. Is it pretty quiet stock? Can it fit the big video cards of today? How does it compare to the trusty 182 etc?

There's a review right here - it was a few years ago, but I guess the case is the same now as it was then (apart from the window).

Not bad if you like that sort of thing, but if quietness is a priority there are better choices to use as a starting point.

Yeah, like Solo is much better than P160 and cheaper. One of main flaw of P160 is how HDD cage is virtually cloking entire front fans air flow. Basic sin of Sonata series...

I have an ATI Radeon HD4870 card. It fits comfortably in the case I bought 3.5 years ago.

AFAIK, my PC doesn't overheat. I have 4 hard drives in the lower cage, with (as I write this) temps from 36-40C, according to SpeedFan. The case has a single Antec Tri-Cool at the back.

My CPU has stock cooling, and when idle, frequently doesn't even spin.

When playing games for extended periods, I rarely hear the vid card fan ramp up to maximum.

This case works for me. I wouldn't mind having an even quieter case, but it's certainly quieter than the highway just below my 30th floor condo.
