M vs F

Hi to all, this is my first posted topic ever :o , so please excuse my newbiness and ignorance.

I am thinking of building a new PC since my current comp is as noisy as hell! (Especially that deafening PSU  )

So after reading some posts, it seems that keeping the case cool is important...cooler case = quieter PSU = less noise (duh :) ). Therefore this leads to my question:

Lets assume that both cases have exactly the same characteristics (Except of course one being a mid and other a full tower case) - the number of fans/placement, case design, a clean layout of those nasty cables etc etc etc...

Sooo...would the full tower then have more/better airflow compared to the mid tower since its volume is bigger...or not?
