What is the best case for a GTX580 + 2600K?

I want a powerful, yet silent PC.

GTX 580 Galaxy with Accelero cooling

I have not yet decided if I'm going to go with the Noctua heatsinks, or a fanless Thermalright HR-02.

Which is the best case, in terms of air flow, and quietness?

I also plan on getting either the Kingwin Platinum 80 PLUS PSU, either fanless, or not - not sure yet.

Noctua NH-D14 and Thermalright Silver Arrow, are still the best air performance heatsinks around, if you are aiming at the lowest temps, and you have the space for them, willing to drop $80, then i would go this route. Now thinking about value/performance, there are two good heatsinks that stand out imo, Thermalright HR-02 Macho $39.95, a good performing heatsink that works well with a low rpm fan, the included TY140 imo is good and for $40 i dont think any heatsink can touch it, if you wish to read more, check HardOCP Thermalright HR-02 Macho CPU Air Cooler Review, not all is perfect with it, check the compatibility list, as the new bracket isnt fully compatible with all mobos, specially with Asus. Another option is Scythe Mugen 3 $49.99, not the best air performance cooler, but already comes with a slipstream pwm that can drop to 300rpm at idle (if your mobo support pwm fan control), and can ramp up to 1600rpm in case you need it, solid quiet cooler with the scythe pwm fan.

On the case, personally i like a lot the following build, Boring but silent, very clean build, so my recommendation is to build on a Antec P183v3 + Antec CP850, a very good combo for a 2600k/GTX580 (i would just swap the fans on the P183 for something more quiet like Scythe, Noiseblocker, etc). While the CP-850 isnt fanless, its very quiet psu, i have owned 2 over time on 1200 and P183, and its a perfect match for those cases, no regrets into not going fanless, and will have room to grow at 850W you can probably power video cards to come, even sli setup if you ever decide you need. If you dont like Antec PSU for whatever reason, then i would go with Seasonic, X560/660 are semi passive PSU, i always like to have a fan just in case it needs it. My micro build run semi passive, but once the GTX580 kicks in there is good load coming to the PSU, and the fan starts, very low if i might add, its very quiet still under load, very good psus from seasonic. If you dont go with CP 850, i would probably also consider the new Antec P280.

Just as last comment, if you are persuing Platinium grade PSUs, Seasonic is also in the market with the SeaSonic Platinum-1000 1000W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Modular Power Supply, there is also an 860W version coming soon. If you wish to read more check, HardOCP Seasonic Platinum-1000 1 Kilowatt Power Supply Review
