Quietest budget case (<$70)

Post by forensic_fox » Sat May 05, 2012 2:52 pm

What is the quietest budget ATX mid-tower case for under $70? There needs to be enough airflow to cool a Nvidia 560ti or a Radeon 7850 so I know I can't expect anything silent, but I'd like to get as quiet as possible.

My current case (NZXT GAMMA Classic) is super thin aluminium and vibrates like crazy. Most of the noise in my current setup comes from the case vibrations and the fan on my current graphics card (Nvidia 280). I have 3 very quiet Noctua fans, a very quiet CPU cooler (ZALMAN CNPS9500) and a silent power supply. I'm willing to get budget dampening material (http://silentpcreview.com/forums/viewto ... 15&t=46353), rubber mounts, and any cheap / easy mods.

What I'm Looking for:
-a case that doesn't vibrate when every fan and hard drive has rubber mounts (I have 2 7200rpm hard drives)
-a case that doesn't have too many holes (so random interior noise doesn't leak out of unused fan slots)
-a case that can cool a 560ti or 7850, even when room temperature is 27 degrees Celsius

Here are some cases that looked sturdy and quiet to me. Please comment and give suggestions:

Silverstone PS-07: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811163186

Steel construction, soft 3.5" mounts, two front fans, easily removable filter, keeps my GTX 680 and i7-3770k cool and quiet :)
