Antec 3700BQE still effective?

I need a new system, and I'm trying to reuse parts from an old Pentium 4 system. Specifically, the case, an Antec 3700BQE. I am not using the stock PSU or fan.

Is the case itself still decent? Are there newer more effective designs?

I will be running:
i7 2700K CPU
MB with onboard video
Seasonic X-460FL fanless PSU
2 x SSD
2-3 120 fans for case and CPU cooling (likely Nexus 120 like)

How much would I need to spend on a case to get one with superior cooling?

It's fine as long as you aren't going to overclock a lot, but if you are then look for some case with the PSU at the floor of the case.

Adunno man, it'll have barely any wire management and it's pretty cramped in there. If you can get some more $ pick up a cheaper case from a good manufacturer.

If it had been about purchasing a new case, sure. ;)

I had this case in 2006. It was noisier and does not cool as well as the P150/Solo that replaced it. Not to mention, it looks like crap as well. I would suggest getting the Fractal R3 or Corsair 550d if you want more silence.

That being said, looks like you are running onboard video and ssds. So you can probably live with that case and get some quiet fans like Noctuas.
