140mm Side Panel Fan Vibration

I need to cool my 680 SLI setup better. Adding a 140mm fan to my side panel on my R3 did the trick. Problem is the dam thing vibrates like crazy. I have tried zip ties rubber screws nothing works. I even tried to put some foam in between the mount and the panel. Nothing I just get this nice vibrating sound. Am I doing something wrong here?

I would assume a case of mistaken identity (source of the noise) unless it's a damaged fan that makes that much noise all by itself.

Maybe you might find some material here that will work for you:

Would something like this help?

I'm also considering getting the Corsair 550D case...

Maybe... but I am unaware of anything like this for 140mm fans

Have you tried a different fan?
Maybe the one you have has an imbalance that creates the perfect amplification environment for your case's panel.
I would try to add weight to the panels (and different vibration characteristics) with sound dampening material.

Yeah, exactly what fan are you using?
