Antec NSK3480 with PSU extender bracket ?
Anyone tried an PSU extender bracket on the Antec NSK3480 with a Seasonic Fanless supply?
Re: Antec NSK3480 with PSU extender bracket ?
The Seasonic fanless PSUs are 160mm long rather than the more common 140mm. Are you worried about optical drive length being in the way? Unless you have a very long (>190mm) optical drive there shouldn't be a problem and if you do have a long optical drive, getting a shorter one shouldn't be a problem. Most are 170mm.

Thanks for that info edh
I had planned on putting in a pair of the above hot swap bays but the specs say 184 mm long so it looks like i will have to research and see if you can buy shorter ones in length or i'm in two minds if to scrap the NSK3480 and go for the compact ATX case like Lian Li A05NB/FNB.
Larger than i hoped for but until i swap all my drives over to 2.5" i need two bays for 3.5" hot swaps.

Where did you find that "PSU extender"?
Re: Antec NSK3480 with PSU extender bracket ?
What about getting the cables out of the top chamber? The EA-380 is a 140mm PSU and, judging by the pictures in the review, leaves only the bare minimum of room to get to the cable holes.edh wrote:Are you worried about optical drive length being in the way?

The PSU bracket is 60mm so only 100mm of the PSU would be inside the the top so i had planned on cutting a hole in the 40mm space to drop the cables down to the Motherboard section. But as i would be extending the back of the case by 60mm with the bracket i'm in two minds if to sell my NSK3480 and just buy a bigger MATX case or a compact ATX case.Saribro wrote:What about getting the cables out of the top chamber? I would like to go ITX but i need two full size bays and space for my Seasonic PSU.
