i remember in the 80s when ibm released the ibm ps/2 model 30 and model 50
at the time they were super expensive and i thought they were gorgeous.
is there any current 2013 cases that look like them?
any mini-itx cases that resemble ibm ps/2 model 30/50

The only brand I can think of is Chieftec but even their designs "only" got stuck in the 90s, not the 80s.

(the included PSUs tend to be noisy and inefficient).
Beige fascias? Fujitsu Siemens did some partly beige but for their workstations and they were BTX form factor.

not close enough
back in the day, when the ps/2 model 50 came out i remember it being in banks and universities, and it was very expensive like $3500 + $600 for monitor expensive.
remember 80s tv show head of the class? they had a ps/2 model 50.
copyright issues aside, maybe we can offer mini-itx cases that are patterned after the 1980s classics from the tandy 1000 to ibm ps/2?
anyone remember leading edge model D? a classroom friend had one.
i wanted a ps/2 but then i saw a tandy 3000hl for half the price.
i ended up w/ a tandy 1000 while a another friend had a ibm ps/2 model 50. thing is my tandy 1000 had better graphics and sound when playing thexder.
of these i thought ibm ps/2 was best looking

Why not get a broken one second hand and retrofit a miniITX board into it? Got to be doable!

i can't imagine though how much time and money it would take.edh wrote:Why not get a broken one second hand and retrofit a miniITX board into it? Got to be doable!
i guess a mac mini is the closest thing to a ps/2 model 50
