I saw one in CompUSA today...
Hello:
I saw one in CompUSA today and I was not very impressed. The "chrome" edge on the bezel and the pivoting port thingie at the top are just distracting. Overstyled and not very graceful. And the intake grill did not appear to be very free flowing...

Now this morning the "ETA" thing is gone, replaced with the generic "Auto-Notify" button. Seems out of stock all over the place, assuming it was ever in stock in the first place.edrcflyer wrote:Newegg's got pic's with a window - ETA 12/1

The temp display alternates back and forth between the readings of the 2 temp probes that are included. The reading is shown for about 1-2 seconds before it switches to the other one. There is no configuration available, you get what you get.davidos wrote:How does the temp display work on the P160?
I am now down to this case or the SLK3700bqe since they both seem better at cooling/air flow than the Sonata.

When is this review coming out?
I'm buying a new case and I'm intrested in this one.
Would want to see a review & pictures first.
Haven't found a single review of this case on the net
I would go into a shop and take a look at this case if it would be possible, but I'ts not, so I have to depend on reviews..

AFAIK the P160 with a windowed side panel is only for specific customers.
The windowed side panel is available on its own.

Not all the pics are up yet.

Newegg has the windowed P160 listed as available for sale and even in stock to any Tom, Dick or Harry with a credit card....AntecRep wrote:AFAIK the P160 with a windowed side panel is only for specific customers.

I wouldn't buy a fan for the front unless you feel the need for some spot cooling of your HDD. The front bezel is very open and the airflow is quite good in the P160. The downside to that is that a lot of noise escapes out the front and if you put a fan in the front you'll be able to hear it quite easily.davidos wrote:ordered the windowed one yesterday! should be here by Tuesday...
What fan should I buy for the front?
The 120mm fan mounting setup in the P160 is pretty funky anyway. The fan mounts on this slide out tray that fits loosely (loose = vibration!!) into the drive cage framework. There is no room to mount the fan to the tray using any sort of dampening mounts, it needs to be screwed directly onto the tray using regular flat head fan mounting screws.
What I did to add some spot cooling to the HDD in my P160 was to throw away the tray and mount a 5V 92mm L1A with EAR isolation mounts directly to the fan grills on the chassis. This bypassed all the rattlely crap at least. I can just barely hear the 5V fan and it cools the drive down a few more degrees.
