Ive found Antec 3700BQE's in England!

Enclosures and acoustic damping to help quiet them.

you might be interested to know you can now order the 3700BQE in the UK from insight: www.insight.com
(£69.99 + VAT, though - this is the same price as the sonata is at www.simply.com)
Well, RikA did....

On their website it says its "ordered upon request" and ive just emailed them asking how long it would take if i was to order it.

/me gets very excited! :)

I think they've just added it to their website as it is to be released soon - they clearly don't have stock just yet - but it is a good sign. I'm going to wait for other eTailers to put up the item before going ahead with an order.

Insight are selling the Sonata for £20 more than simply - so I'm hoping the BQE will be at least a tenner cheaper when/if it appears there.

PS - let me know what Insight say about when they will have stock!

Ok heres the reply (looks to me that he cant be bothered to type out a proper answer tbh):

Thank you for contacting Insight Technical Support.

We have an estimated lead time of four business days on ordering this product. You can therefore expect to wait approximately one week for delivery.

Thanks,
Dave

This is good news. I've been checking all the usual suspect web sites daily for the last couple of weeks looking for this case! As RikA says, I might wait a few more days to see if it gets more widespread before ordering. Post here if either of you see it anywhere else, or if you actually order and receive one.

I've found it at http://www.easyetrader.com
for £59 + VAT.... BUT when you try to add it to your basket, it says....
"The chosen item is no longer in stock or a discontinued line. Please try to find an item that is currently showing as in stock."

grrrrrr - I'll give them a call / email later...

Now also found at www.datecsys.co.uk where you can actually place an order for one - £81.50 delivered.

That's about a tenner cheaper than Insight (sorry Seal!), but about a fiver more expensive than easyetrader would be (if you could actually order the thing!!!!).

I'm awaiting a response from Simply, who I suspect will be the cheapest of the lot.

At easyetrader it is under 'Cases/PSU -> Budget Cases' for some reason.

Antec eCode: 75034
SLK3700/MT 350W Quiet Edition ATX 0 £59.26

I don't think any of the stores seem to have it in stock right now, do they?
It appears that these places are just making the product available to (pre)order now - and that they are expecting stock soon (It's a good sign that Insight say '4 days'). I've emailed Datec and EasyETrader to find out when they are expecting stock.

EDIT - I've bitten the bullet and ordered with Datec.

EDIT2 - Datec say they are expecting to despatch 18/11/2003. That's not as quick as Insight - but It'll do (given that it's a little bit cheaper).

I've emailed easyetrader asking if they know when they'll have them in stock, or if it's possible to 'pre-order' (as their site rejects orders for items not in stock). I've not yet had a reply, which isn't very professional...

I've found another UK place with the SLK3700BQE listed, which is http://www.xcase.co.uk/acatalog/Antec_Cases.html. As with the others, there is zero stock. I've emailed them to see if they know when they might get some in.

Nice find, Pelago. Did you check their PSU section? Looks like they have some nice 120mm fan-based cheap 550W PSU!

Seal,

I too have only had the confirmation email (I paid by Credit Card).

I'm not really sure how their stock control software works - maybe it just updates every day or 12 hours or so.

No sign of the case today :(
Interlink Express tell me there is nothing bound for my address :(

Anyone received theirs today? (if so, did it come via Interlink Express as the xcase website suggests?)

I received my case today ;-) I was getting worried there for a while... Hopefully you two guys will receive yours tomorrow.

For interest, it was delivered by Interlink as an 'overnight' delivery, and it had been posted yesterday.

nope, still no sign of it :(

i did however phone interlink and they were like... what??? u have to ask the company that sent it.... i think it was an excuse and the woman on the otherside of the phone could be bothered or something. nm

hope i get it tomorrow. i emailed xcase too... their customer service seems to be a little lacking.
