Suitability of Antec Minuet Case

Post by crawford » Fri Nov 21, 2003 8:34 am

I'm thinking about picking up an Antec Minuet case to house an Epia-M fanless mainboard. This will be a simple machine for my mother (xmas is coming!).

The problem is that she is still using dial-up, so I'll need to buy her a modem and the Minuet only accepts half-height PCI cards. This leads to two questions:

1. Would the Minuet be a good case for a mini-itx board? Are there other small-ish cases that I should be considering?

2. Can anyone recommend a half-height pci modem?

Thanks! :)

Seems like that would be a perfect case for a epia-based "Grandma System".

If worse comes to worse and you can't find a half-height modem card you can always use an external modem, either USB, or if the board has it, serial port.
