CoolerMaster 710 case in UK?

Enclosures and acoustic damping to help quiet them.

CoolerMaster 710 case in UK?

Post by Sooty » Mon Mar 01, 2004 9:40 am

I'd settled on getting a Compucase LX-6A19, but the CoolerMaster 710 has seduced me with it's looks. Yes, I know Coolermaster have stopped selling it, just wondered if anyone knew of a new one, gathering dust on a vendors shelf somewhere?

Btw, is this case not made by "ATCS"? Coolermaster then stick their logo on it. So is it not still available from ATCS?

Isn't "ATCS" an acronym for something, like "Advanced xx Cooling System" or something like that?

I don't know what the letters stand for, Ralph, but the company is called ATCS-Tek.

A few sites confirming that it’s a separate company from CoolerMaster:

Their site is down. I’ll try mailing them tommorow – when I haven’t got a headache :x

Yes, ATCS-Tek does not appear to exist as a separate entertity anymore. I'm guessing they went belly-up, which might explain why a lot of their cases dissapered from the CoolerMaster range. Coolermaster probably then bought them out. Now one of those ATCS cases is back in the CoolerMaster range (minus the "ATCS" logo)...

I don't know if there are similar plans to resurrect the 710.

From here:
ATC stands for Active Thermal Convection system
(and I think it also says that on the box, but I don't have my box any more so I'll never know...)

Odd name for a company!

Or did Cooler Master invent this term, not wanting people to discover the real reason 'ATCS' appeared on the front of 'their' cases?
