We are almost off of our team's production chart on EOC.

The chart rescales each time we hit a new high, so unfortunately we'll never be "off the scale"

damn

Did you notice the point spread between positions 26 and 28?

Or positions 31 & 32?

Wow!

OH NO!!! help me the update is 5 minutes overdue, I don't think I can make it much longer!

and immediately afterwards my wish is granted :)

btw....

We've hit 36th!!1111!!!

oh yeah, and sorry for kicking you out of the top 10 rusty.... its pains me to do so to such a dedicated and insane silencer! or something kind of like that.

okay so I'm really just filled with an evil pleasure as I move up in the ranks

No need for the update Zhentar, you've passed me. grr.

That's it, time to start borging the machines at work. I counted 18 machines there, including the server. The slowest one in mine, at 1.6Ghz. (that's what I get for being the new guy) The fastest is the server, dually 3.06's

uh-oh! shouldn't have done that, sounds like your work computers own my work computers... our fastest is a 2 ghz P4, and the slowest is a P3 866.... the servers a single proc 1ghz P3....

One big difference....you have permission. I, as yet, do not.

yeah I suppose that is an important difference.

actually I hope you do pass me, because if you pass me while I'm getting 3k+ points a week (and both my farm and my main machine has been down all week) that means you've got to be doing some great production. It'll bring us a little closer to yellow...

True, although the little competition is a fun aside, the growth of the whole team is what's important.

I remember when powergoza first started it, the goal was to hit the top 100

I also remember when I first found folding.extremeoverclocking.com in these forums we'd regularly pass as many as 10 teams in 24 hours, now its days between conquests and everyone around us is green!

Is it me or did our team have a sudden jump in production?

we now have a recordbreaking 8090 ppd, and rising!!

It seems production has picked up for all our bigger folders suddenly.
Bkh > 1000 ppd.. I think in the next update he'll be red. He is now #62 on the list of most producing users.

Go bkh! KWSN-Milleniumknight is only producing 2.5 times more then you, you can make that!

I think the Tinkers are being finished up, and we are switching back to Gromacs. That partially explains the upward trend in everyone's scores.

yeah... everyone probably got a couple of p910's again :D

AAARGH! Now the farm node that wasn't broken WON'T BOOT! WTF is up with all this stuff, its like I've found a magical spot where computers refuse to work. I'm sick of doing everything on my laptop :(

No chance, Wrah. The high score was just a coincidence -- a whole bunch of 70 point tinkers finished yesterday. Most of the machines that I can use for folding are running Linux Red Hat v9, which has a bug that causes Gromacs to die just before submitting a completed run, so Gromacs are all 0-points for me. (I have a couple of windows boxes running Gromacs though.)
My cpus will each generate about 12 points per day until Red Hat's next production release, for an average total of about 600 points per day. And when I'm ready to launch the next big round of simulations, my total daily output will drop to about 150.

But it looks like mjrusso45 and TRC-13 will continue running hard, with notable help from the rest of the top 20, and upcomers like Charliechan.

But in aggregate, most of our team's points come from the folks running one or two cpus. They are essential to our team's move up, and we could really use more folks like them.

The 910's are AWESOME!

34! 34! 34! 34! 34! 34!

...and we'll be here for about 11 days and then move to 33. Sweet.

I'm getting a new 2500+ and some lower latency ram. So maybe we'll move up a bit faster :)

I'll be upgrading the slowest office computer soon.

Maybe that will speed up my rapidly slowing conquests.

Then again, there aren't enough people ahead of me to pick up much.

If it is the Barton 333 FSB chip I have a few of those and have no problem whatsoever overclocking them to 2800+ and I am able to do so with CPU temps around 105°F. Just bump the multiplier up to 12.5 and the VCore to 1.725V. They are stable as hell. You will need something other than the stock AMD fan but you most likely have something a lot quieter. I noticed an increase in folding speeds on those machines.

I plan on going at least to 2800+ speeds. hopefully i'll hit 3000+ speeds. but i might not be able to do that silently.

second i'll be doing more like 10x200 not 12.5x166 maybe even 11x200. I guess i'll just have to wait.

My friend has gotten his to work at 3000+ and 3200+ with a 400FSB I will get the details. However he had some stability issues and I know he was running the core at 1.85V and was running real hot with a themaltake Volcano 11.

man i wouldn't go past 1.8v core unless i had water cooling.

Hadn't checked team SPCR for a while & was shocked to discover that we're now in 34th place & our last 24hr & 7day points tally beats most of the teams up to around the low 20s. Amazing! Bit o' back patting all around!! 8)

New daily point record

Posted: Fri Sep 05, 2003 2:52 am
by NeilBlanchard
Hello:

As a team, we made a new daily point record:

8,645.13

Impressive. Our weekly total is also at record levels with 55,279.63 points in the last week! At out present rate, we will have settled at the #26 spot by the end of this year -- so obviously, our meteoric climb is slowing a bit. BUT, if we can get more ACTIVE members (we currently have 84 out of 172...) then we may well go higher!

Keep up the good work, team! :D

Has anyone else been getting a truckload of tinkers lately?

I've noticed a slight decline in our teams production.

Not I - been on a solid diet of Gromacs all week, including 1 +-64 pointer that flew through.
