Ah, you're right, I read it too quickly.

Looks like I had to restart WU #2. The WU Data Log file was taking my whole hard drive, it was over 50GB. I don't know why, but I had to delete it.

Yeah, that sounds like a corrupted unit, if it happens again delete the core too. The console will download a new one the next time you fire it up.

Wow, just checking out statsman to see who's in our pack (we're at 164 btw!) and I thought it'd be worth mentioning whose company we're in:

virtualhideout
team beos (wow)
team novell (2x wow!)
overclockersclubcanada.com
www.insideproject.com

and we passed "microsoft", "intel" and aceshardware quite a while ago....

cool!

Grr... finished 2nd WU, but I got a Gromacs exception error of some kind. So it looks like it didn't finish the WU correctly. I deleted the core to try again.

Anyway, looks like you are supposed to use Ctrl-C only to exit the console version. My computer rebooted so that might have messed it up.

Hey looks like we broke 160! Saw it at 157 earlier but now at 158. Must be a little wave action as other teams report.

Now 44 strong :) 100 by April's end looks more doable everyday, but the competition probably gets tougher as we get closer to the top, so our progress may be misleading.

Keep signing up guys, it is a numbers game.

Yes, I am quite certain that progress up the ranks is exponential. Until now we have been passing many teams who reported a few WUs and then disbanded. Now we're running into the thick of groups who are still actively reporting, and have been doing so for awhile. It's gonna get real slow. I don't think we'll hit 100 for awhile (like months). I hope we do sooner, don't get me wrong, but the curve is definitely starting to get steep.

According to statsman, we're still considerably outpacing our current neighbors. Of course the number of WU's (and hence their lead) is growing larger and larger, but right now we're still in relatively easy waters. With any luck, this will hold until we can close in a little more on 100.

What's funny is that 10 days ago, miker said:
So, we should hit 100k maybe by the end of June.
...and since then, our pace has increased such that we're scheduled to hit 100k WU's around the end of May. Progress. :)

Happy folding!

yes, according to the Top 1000 Teams SPCR's weekly total is 2x-3x higher then all teams up to the top 100 (except 1).

Watch out Newtown High School!

...

Why does this whole scenario remind me of MarioKart?
