Linux SMP - Restart

Post by Dutchmm » Tue Oct 02, 2007 8:36 am

Hi

About to join the SPCR team when:

1) My first (anonymous) WU completes tomorrow morning, and
2) I finally finish building my new silent runner

Is it safe to stop the console client half way through (would get me to 2 earlier), or will I lose all the work done so far? In the first case, is there a special switch I need to set to restart?

Regards

Mike

Hi Mike, it should be safe, the core/client does regular check points so little/less work is lost in the case of an unexpected termination.

When it restarts it should start from the last check point.

Good to have you aboard. :D

Welcome to the team. 8)

regards
Pete
