Things are moving so smoothly that despite the loss of one of our biggest contributors Rusty and his "render farm" for the past week, SPCR folding has moved to 89th place! 11 places in 5 days. This implies 79 by next weekend!

SPCR team is really flying..

Were we not in the 1000 rank not so long ago? Rusty super rig will be back soon, that should help us even more. :D

They should have a stats page for the fastest growing team, maybe SPCR will come top there.

Looks like 80th on Saturday, 79 on Monday.

But wow, we have some real breadth and depth coming through in the team - 70 active users - nice stuff.

78 on Monday!

Hello:

Well, we've made it to 78 and it looks like the "sailing" to 74 is going to be fast! After that, there will be a little slower progression up to 68. We have also gained our 100th member! :D

YAY I'm #100!

I can't believe these workunits take so long....

Some take longer than others...

Hello:

Some work units take longer than others! There are dozens of projects, and they are all different. The key things for distributed computing are patience and perserverance!

Letting it run over night also helps. I go to school for many hours a day also

well, I suppose now that it's completely silent, I won't have any problem leaving it on 24/7............ :D

My silent comp is in my bedroom. Even night time ambient noise outside my window shuts it out ... but if the window's closed and the house is silent ... you can hear the slight breeze through components :)

We're starting to get into the thick part of the team pack, though only 27 others teams ahead of us had more points in the last 7 days

Those Ni Knights are up to September to pass us! :o

If you look at the top 1000 teams you'll see that all the teams have a peak there. Very odd. Might be a bug. As if they miss points from time to time and re-add them all at once to get the totals right again.
But according to the stats on extremeoverclocking we did have a recordbreaking day total of 3770.

[\statsjunky on] As of this posting, The Ni Knights will overtake SPCR in points on Sept 11 this year. Hmmmm. [\statsjunky off]

I bet it's the Stanford servers...

I'll bet it's the servers -- they may have just had a "pile up" and then one or more of 'em got things uploaded to the main computer all at once.

Either that or Tragus, TRC-113, bkh, Twisted Animator, and mjrusso45 just had excellent days! :D

I did have a pretty good day. ;)

Yesterday though I delivered one of my boxen to their new home, so the folding from that Barton 2500+ has stopped :( However, I just ordered my new Barton for myself and I have a PC half assembled on my desk that should be folding for me for a couple days. My stats should increase.

Also a couple of my boxen at work were shut down while I was on vacation for a week. That never helps the old stats.

[ I didn't think this was important enough for its own thread, but I couldn't find another that was appropriate.]

I was looking at the other teams yesterday and noticed Utrecht suddenly jumped in its standings. A closer look revealed a single user with an astonishing (and quite anomalous) one day score. See the results here and wonder with me.

My hypotheses:

1. A farm with network connection difficulties (for a *long* time).
2. A farm suddenly came into production.
3. Some weird F@H glitch.
4. A pact with Bealzabub.

That does lool pretty damn suspicious. We should report him to the folding police.

Well, I've had my people investigate this 'XP' person and after thorough analysis of that team's forum (be warned, it is in dutch), they've found the following. It appears that the suspect is in fact just screwing around with the rest of his or hers team. We suspect he owns a farm of a large but unknown size. He deliberatily had his firewall block all internet access and after accumulating a large quantity of so-called WU's, opened access again thereby flushing all WU's at once. He's screwing around with the #2 of his team. You know, let them come close then blast off again.

All evidence is circumstantial, the reliability of the sources is unknown. The suspect does not post to the forum himself or by using his XP alias. Currently my people are investigating wether there is any connection between this 'XP' person and someone who calls himself 'MilleniumKnight'.
