Watch out when resetting your system clock!!

Post by NeilBlanchard » Tue Apr 15, 2003 8:09 am

Hello:

I just lost a WU at frame 391 out of 400! :x It "expired" after I reset my system clock -- to make a longish story short, my UPS was faulty, and in the process of coming out of hibernation, I was forced to reset the BIOS to default values, and I forgot to change the date to today's date. When I discovered this and corrected the date and time, I was almost finished with the WU -- and it expired!

So, don't say I didn't warn you! The lesson is, let the WU finish before you change the clock.
