Strange PC Improvement since Folding

Post by unregistered » Fri Oct 31, 2003 4:49 am

Well I haven't logged off for 3-4 days since starting folding.(XP pro)

I have been haveing a problem with side buttons (MS Optical Intellipoint) ceasing to work after a day or two. The problem corrects itself with a log-off or reboot. This is the longest period I can remember without side button failure.

Maybe folding has cured this or at least increased stability?

:D I don't think so.

But it's a funny thought, helping to cure diseases helps your computer to cure its own diseases :)

Maybe it keeps the processor too busy to fux up the mouse :)

I'm going to, of course, keep track of this situation to see how long it is "cured". This annoyance has been with me over quite of few major hardware upgrades and since 98 to XP pro.

But then again maybe the demon in my computer is out doing other things this Halloween!

Well it's been well over a week (oct 28) since I started folding and this mouse is still breaking it's record for working right. I haven't logged-off or rebooted! I think miker made the right call

This mouse bug must be a conflict with windows and cmos energy saving options.

Imagonna keep this up and running to see how many days I can go, I like stability, it's right there with quiet. Plus folding goes uninterrupted!
