Surely Early_Unit_Ends don't nessecarily mean System instability, do they?

I've got F@H running on a couple of Compaq machines, all WELL within their temperature ranges. None of them are overclocked or anything. They can run Prime95 endlessly without crashing. A couple of these still have had EUEs...

An occasional Early_Unit_End is no cause for concern. Especially if it happens on a project in the series 1301 till 1310.

Prime95 is not enough to prove your system is stable enough for F@H. The Gromacs units of F@H tax your system more than Prime95 does. In the "Third party tools" section of Folding-community.org you can find the "SSE torture tool". That is the only thing to prove your system is stable enough for F@H.

I've got a slow two weeks. I crunched a bunch of p1124 and p1125 Tinker WUs, they don't let you accumulate points as fast as the p130x ones. But now I'm back in the top 20 producers.

But Pete according to EOC and your sig, you're still behind KnightFallen :? Got some secret up in your sleeve :?:

I'm gonna pass MAudin in two or three days. That'll keep some distance between us

Fold on.

OK, here's an interesting race for you -- me versus the clock. The goal is to pass 100K before 2005. Right now it's looking pretty tight!

http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... s=&u=98736

I don't think I can scare up any more machines for the cause between now and then.. so it could be very close!

A 72 day forcast looks very good for you achieving it. 8)

Also...72 Days/7 X your PPW + your current points gives you 119,409 points.

So you should be good to go... might even get an Xmas pressie out of it

Good Luck. :D

Anyone know what's happened to VikingDude??

He came screaming up the charts and now has taken a rather severe nosedive.

Did he get caught borging machines :?:

I just added a P4-1.4 to my little troop. Trying to build it back up after losing all those machines at my old work place.

Added two more machines today. They are supposed to run 24/7

Added a P4-1.8 and a [email protected]

Didn't borg these. Talked to 2 friends and they did it .

That brings me up to about 15.2 GHz :D

I'm going again. Kinda.

Got a main system that's a 2600 mobile running at 2.2ghz. Its Folding whenever I'm not playing EverQuest2. ;)

I underclocked my server (1.4 down to 900) and decided not to have it Fold anymore. And I have a 1.4 system that is currently down with hardware problems, but once its up will be a Linux system and Folding 24/7.

Won't be anywhere near when I had 15 or so office systems going, but its something.

Rusty & I are racing to 90,000 points!

Post by NeilBlanchard » Sat Jan 15, 2005 6:03 pm

Hello Fellow Folders:

I don't know if anybody has noticed, but Rusty and I are racing towards 90,000 points. I recently added my boss's Athlon 64 3200+ and it has certainly given me a big boost! I'm green! :P

No disprespect to Rusty, but with your recent boost, this doesn't really look like a big challenge anymore. Shouldn't you now be racing Beyonder to 90k instead?

Thanks for noticing Neil ! !

Yes i'm back at almost full force. Was helping out another team for a short while overtake a team.

I've got all but 2 of my machines converted back to SPCR.

Why all the strange faces? Did I fall off your overtake list? :D

Yeah....Yeah.....Yeah pete I know what you getting at.

One of the machines is at a friends house and I'll convert it to SPCR next time I'm over there.

The other machine I swapped back yesterday, so now all but 1 of my machines are back folding for SPCR.

Did you notice I put up 1,780 pts yesterday for SPCR??

I actually had over 2,000 but 299 pts were on those other 2 machines so went to a different team.

Two or three times in the past it happened that one of my clients could not get a new WU. It kept trying for hours. The server it tried was up. The system had internet connection (as I could browse the web).

Well, if something is wrong with one of my PC's and I don't understand what. There is always the same thing I try: Reboot. It worked. Still don't know what happened. But who cares.

Nope, no luck. Tried reboot, boot to different os (64 bit), different server (attach -advparams gives you a different server usually). Coming up on 9 hours of idle time. Grrrr
