Lies, damned lies and F@H stats

Post by nap_loaf » Thu Jan 22, 2004 1:27 pm

When the regular statistics (like PPW compared with MacOS X) aren't looking so good, it's time to..."invent" some new measures such as the following:

Team loyalty (or dedication): The percentage of users that are active. A low loyalty stat means a lot of people join a team, fold a bit, then get bored and don't come back.

Average user contribution: The team PPW divided by number of active users. When this is high, it means users either own fast computers or have farms or many borged machines folding in their name.

WU difficulty: The total number of points divided by the total number of work units. Admittedly of little use, even compared to the previous 2 stats.

Here are the stats for the top 30 teams:

Nicely done Sir 8)

That puts a very interesting slant on it all.

Guess we're pretty good guys after all...... as if anyone doubted.

Presumably the mac boys won't be able to comment until jobsie tells them what to think... after he's had an 'independent' statistics expert... rearrange things

Now... if you could just add a row for percentage of loyalty to platform 8)

Well done again.

Pete

You forgot Home built.......

That would be 0%.

At the very bottom of your statistics.

Strange that people can maintain and have a state of the art computers and never buy a new one????????????

I understand your loyalty but,You don't realize that you are at the wrong end of the chart you just posted?
