Hi there!
I'll be building a new machine inside a P180B and I'm concerned about getting the best possible airflow/noise compromise.
Here's a snapshot of my anticipated setup:
- P180B
- Neo He430
- P5B-Deluxe
- C2D E6600
- 2x1GB PC6400
- XFX 7950GT XXX (passive)
- 1 Caviar SE-16 320GB
- 1 optical drive
- 1 PCI card
I read through the spcr website and the forums, but I'm still unsure about my airflow planning.
Considering I have no VGA fan, I wanna OC, and ambient temps get to about 85F/30C in the summer, would you guys feel safe to:
1) go passive on the CPU with Ultra120 or HR-01 (i hear the ninja won't fit with P5B?), with no additional fan
2) remove the lower chamber fan
3) use the rear and top 120 exhausts and a 120 middle fan blowing towards back, all on low (no front intake).
if not, what are my best options?
or maybe i wouldn't even need that much?
thanks for helping out!
Help please - P180 airflow!

looks like a lot more than i had planned though!
i thought the stock northbridge sink would be fine!
also i can't fit a Ninja on my P5B so i'll have to try something else on the CPU...
anybody managed to cool a similar setup, with similar clocks, differently?
perhaps with less components and less work involved? (yeah, i'm sort of cheap and lazy )
