My CPU temp

I currently have a

Core2 E4400 at stock, with a Zalman CNPS 9500 (non led)
EVGA 7900 GT w/ HR-03 w/ fan at low speed (this temp rougly at 42)
P5B Asus mb (roughly 40)
2gb ram
corsair 520x
antec p180 w/ all but top case fan which has been moved to hard drive encloser

right now im idling temps range from 47-50c. Does that seem high, cuz i dont have speed fan enabled....its nosy as h*ll but i dont wana buy a new heatsink unless this one is defective....which is the only way the place i bought it from will take it back...

That does sound high. Perhaps a mounting problem?

Lapping is always an option, but I've never been fond of it.

I'd also try remounting/new paste. Seems high.
