Best quiet PC
Is there considered a "best" quiet computer on the market? As in one I can buy pre-made, which is extremely quiet without sacrificing quality? All I can really find in the UK is this, but I'm not sure how good it is.

Good stuff, might cost more shipping to get it to the UK. They carry the silent PC designed systems. Such as...

Dells are supposed to be fairly quiet, but to be honest they are always going to be surpassed by a system using SPCR recommended parts. DIY would be cheaper and the forum is here to guide you through the process step-by-step; heck, I could build you a 20dBA computer for £300 less than that outfit is charging (depending on specs of course; a monster gaming rig would obviously be more).

their cheapest PC is £800. £300 less is £500 (~$1000). if you check Newegg I'm sure you will find you can build a 25dBA (slightly more realistic noise level; 20dBA would have to be a fanless PSU and 2.5" HDD) PC for $1000 with a healthy margin in there for your own time. I would offer the same warranty as they're offering (1 year parts and labour).Felger Carbon wrote:By working for nothing/hour, and by offering no warranty?jaganath wrote:I could build you a 20dBA computer for £300 less than that outfit is charging.

Since Jaganath Computers Ltd doesn't seem to be driving Dell out of business, I assume either there's no market for quiet computers or else you have terribly inadequate marketing!jaganath wrote:...a healthy margin in there for your own time. I would offer the same warranty as they're offering...
At times like this, I wish I had "Adam Smith" for an online moniker...
