I am new to silent computing, however I have just bought a case and a psu that are far too noisy for me. I can hear it form my kitchen!!!

My pc is in my bedroom and I cannot put up with such noise when I am just surfing the web.

I use the pc mainly for photo retouching and a bit of video editing. So some times I need to stress the computer for a couple of hours to process few hundreds images or to render a video

I have been looking a this website and I would like you all to help me decide witch new case and psu to buy.

Here is my short list (after reading few article here and considering what is avaibale locally). Which one would you suggest? (I would like to avoid spending too much money unless there is a really huge difference in noise level)

Cases

1) Antec Solo Mid Tower, Piano = 80 Euros

2) Cooler Master Sileo, = 60 Euros

3) Antec Sonata III, Black 500W = 108 Euros

For Cases ½ I can buy

1) CoolMaster Silent Pro 500W PSU (70 Euros)

2) CoolMaster Silent Pro 700W PSU (96 Euros)

3) Corsair HX650W (116 Euros) (also 620W Is available)

Replace the component(s) that are making the noise.

Is the PSU making the noise? Turn off all the fans and see if it is.

Hi,
I checked. The PSU is making certaintly a big deal fo noisy, however I discovered with your test that another fan is very noisy too.
What do you think of my case/psu combination choice?
