Maximum heathsink height for NSK-3480

Post by ryokan » Sun Apr 18, 2010 11:26 pm

Hello... is it possible to have that information?

The dimensions of the case are:

13.75"(H) x 7.75"(W) x 14"(D)
34.93cm(H) x 19.69cm(W) x 35.56cm(D)

Thanks.

Megahelem and TRUE and all the other tower coolers are all about the same height - about 160mm, depending on how you measure it.

No, the Megahalems will not fit in a 3480.

I have a Mugen2 in my 3480. Scythe lists it officially as 157mm tall:

I have 12 mm from the top of the heatpipe cap to the edge of the case frame. That maxes out the height to 158.2 mm

Lawrence Lee lists the Megahalems at 158.7mm tall:

Might be missing a decimal ... Did you mean 157 + 1.2 = 158.2mm

Stupid metric system... :)

I measured 12mm to the frame, I just can't shift decimals correctly.

So the max limit of the heatsink would be 168.2

The Megahalems will fit.
