Hi from Brazil,
the last two days I was reading and researching on this great page, very good help, congrats.
I'm producing some music here at home (with intention to get professional) and therefore I need a quiet PC.
For a lot of years I already use a passive cooler for my CPU: Termaltake Sonic Tower - I didn't search for it's reputation here, but it works for me
So, why I first came here? PSU - its a generic low-cost one, very loud. I searched a lot in the reviews, and looked for devices I can get here, came down to 2 devices wich I now have to choose: Seasonic S12II-520 (only found a review for the weaker one) Corsair VX550 the Corsair is a little more pricier but it has 4 Years of guarantee, the Seasonic only 12 month. Should I go for the Corsair, because of guarantee? I could get a Zalman 460b cheaper but I haven't found a review here. What about this b-series? Same price of the Corsair I get the Zalman ZM600HP, but I read here it inferior two the above. Cheaper I get the Corsair CX series, but I have seen here it gets quite loud at 200watt or so also cheap: Antec Neo Eco? anybody knows this PSU?
now that I read a lot here, I want to change my case, too. Now it's difficult to find here the recommended here. the ones MENTIONED here that I found: Zalman Z7+ $114 Thermaltake V3 $71 Coolermaster Centurion $146 how are those 3 related in silent PC question? also at this price-range: Coolermaster Atx Haf 912 Rc-912-kkn1 Coolermaster Storm Scout
any help I would appreciate
PS: MSI PM8M3-V mainboard with P4 3Ghz (will opt for a dual or 4 core in the future) onboard S3 unichrome pro grafic 2 sata-drives 2 DDR memories
Thanks a lot
EDIT: found two from the recomended list: Cooler Master Sileo 510 for $127 Antec Sonata Proto for $151
