Miseration - The Mirroring Shadow. High rpm swedish deathmetal with plenty of buzzing and bearing noise. Perhaps if one would undervolt it...

This guy's story is amazing.

The hideous jet airplane takeoff sound of my unmodded P4 during a virus scan
. My new PC should fix that.
But musically: Salif Keita: "Folon" (Malian singer/songwriter/griot with the most amazing voice, even if some of the instrumentation is a bit "pop" for my tastes.)

Great album - wish I still had a record player.

Leon Thomas "Live in Berlin with Oliver Nelson"
On 33 1/3 vinyl. I've owned this since the early '70s, It took me at least ten years to "get into" this disc. I bought it because I heard it at a friend's place and liked it, but when I played it at home it didn't work for me.
Until ten years after.
I only have about 6-700 vinyl albums. When I pull one out to play it there is a feeling about it that music saved on the HD just doesn't convey. I remember where I bought the disc and why. I actually remember when my friend Ed and I sat around stoned listening to this disk, so many years ago. I look at the cover and read the material on the back. I remember when I played it LOUD on the day that Leon Thomas died.
off topic: Kate McGarrigle died yesterday.
