Of course. Aren't you familiar with multitasking?

Oh, and re:

I transferred the Fess and James Booker LPs onto one 80minute CDr, that's how I am able to "listen to them at the same time". It's actually the Fess LP followed right after by the Booker LP. Ain't technology grand! :)

I'm usually listening to NPR.
Hey, I love music, what can I say. Searching for music is what got me into computers in the first place. About 10 years ago I found this great tool called "the internet" which let me connect with people all over the world that were selling LPs that I'd been searching for in the (culturally challenged) US for years. I bought my first computer then and have never looked back.

Oh, BTW - Grace Jones - Nightclubbing

(and I just finished listening to Weekend Edition [w/o Scott Simon :( ] and This American Life on my local NPR affiliate :) )

Isn't there another NPR affiliate in Phoenix? That's one of the bennies of living in a giant conurbation like LA, there's a few different NPR stations in town so you can change the channel and not listen to their pitiful whining.

NPR and PRI sometimes during drive time (I can't stand commercial drive time DJs). Other people's radios at work. CDs the rest of the time.

Got into computers for regular office aps, originally. My first serious hardware upgrade (about the time I saw the 1st CD-R deck below $200) was for transcribing vinyl to CD for the obscure music I thought might never be commercially released in digital. I've been a semi-serious hardware geek ever since (just budget constrained).
