Grrr... stupid neighbors must be deaf.
Give 'em a dose of Lou Reed's "Metal Machine Music" set on "repeat". That'll drown out the barking and let them know how much you appreciate their noise. :)

Ralf's no dog fan. From the All Music Guide:
But confronting Metal Machine Music from front to back in one sitting is an experience that's both brutal and numbing. It's hard to say what Lou Reed had in mind when he made Metal Machine Music, and Reed has done little to clarify the issue over the years, though he summed it up quite pointedly in an interview in which he said, "Well, anyone who gets to side four is dumber than I am."

The reason I heard at the time was that he needed to do one more album to fulfill his contract with the record company and he wasn't too fond of the record company by then (RCA, IIRC) so he delivered that little gem to them.

That is a great, great album! Not that it's the only one listed here so far...

I'm about to pull out Big Daddy's Sgt. Pepper's, an album that does the impossible: it reinvents a complete Beatles album and improves it.
