Should threads be deleted?

Post by SpottingTheObvious » Fri Oct 15, 2004 6:39 am

I have recently had a thread removed from a forum just a few hours after I started it.

With no explanation I can only assume it was deleted because they didn't like what I said.

Lets see how long this one lasts!

I've not known the moderators/admins to outright delete threads. They usually (and rightfully) lock it if it becomes a problem. It could be a forum issue though. Or you have another malicious user on your computer.

Delete away! This forum is about silent computing. It should be dedicated to increasing the signal/noise ratio.

Actually, this one was totally, my fault.

I went to move SpottingTheObvious's thread from where he had posted it, to its proper location (in the OT forum) and accidentally deleted instead.

Feel free to repost it in the right place.

Oh well......I might forgive you :)

Anyway I thought my suggestion was just as valid as any other. It did/does get around a noisy PC for me.

Well repost it and we'll let the discussion unfold there where people can find it.

In the meantime, I'll lock this thread.
