Well, I seem to be one of the youngest regular members here, but I know that Chris Chan is a good bit younger than me. But I Figured I'd make a little poll to see how old everyone is... Don't be ashamed you old geezers!

I used to have a telephone wihout a dial or buttons. When you picked it up the operator said "number please".

Well, I'm not going to go around claiming I am a Young Adult, or an Adult of any kind, so...

I can make that "young university" or "undergrad" or "baby Us" if it makes you feel better

Interesting results BTW. I would have excepted the average to be a bit lower than it is right now. Perhaps most people are still in their "faster is better" stage when in their twenties.

well technically at 18 you are an adult, at least here in germany, and AFAIK also in america, even if you aren't allowed to do anything, and I think the term by marketing for that age group is young adult (actually 18-25), so whatever. just go by age, the names were pretty random as you can see...

I just leveled the POLL at 18 a peice for the "20's sorta" and the "29-39 bracket".

I'm 28 and yes I went through a faster is better stage in my early twenties

I've always suspected I was the oldest poster on these forums......but after reading this thread, I'm not so certain. When you get a little older, you find it easier to estimate someone's age, even without seeing the person. It has to do with language usage, and content. Of course it is more difficult when English is not the primary language of the poster.

In any event, I'm not going to tell.....guess if you want.

I think it's funny the youngsters in this thread who have said they feel old at the age of 20 or thereabouts. Some of us oldies would give our right arms to have the luxury of feeling old at 20! You've probably got a good 60 years more on this planet barring nuclear war or a meteor strike, get out there and enjoy it!

Yes, probably. All the other 98 years old left SPCR after figuring out that their computers became instantly quiet when they switched off their hearing aids.

I've never used a hearing aid, and I don't hear my computer at all, absolutely silent. In fact, I don't even hear the television

That sounds like a mighty fine voice activated dialing solution. Did you have to speak the digits slowly? Could you speak a name and have the system automatically dial the number?

(old enough to have seen one of them, but we were on rotary dial party lines until I was about 12 when we got our own private line - still rotary)

Nah. It's way skewed towards the young end of the spectrum because his first three groups are in 5-year increments, and all the rest are in 10 year increments.
