Need a smile? Maybe a laugh? :) Check out this review. Please read it all before posting anything negative. I hope you can find this fun and enjoyable.

Its been awhile since I have been here and I wanted to say howdy.

They could have at least used ATi terminology instead of nVIDIA... or spelled Rancor correctly.

They could be further off the truth...
The FPS charts made me laugh :D

I have a magazine here with a review of a GeForce 3 Ti 500 (2001):
Memory: 250 MHz (500 MHz effective)
Core: 240 MHz

Test rig:
AMD Duron 900 MHz
256 MB PC-100

Benchmark: Quake III
1600x1200x32: 77.7 fps
1280x1024x32: 82.9 fps
1024x 768x32: 85.3 fps
800 x 600 x32: 86.1 fps
640 x 480 x32: 86.6 fps

Benchmark: 3DMark 2001
1600x1200x32: 3689
1280x1024x32: 4124
1024x 768x32: 4466 (default)
800 x 600 x32: 4736
640 x 480 x32: 4885

I don't know at what speed current cards run Q3, but my old FX 5950 Ultra (2003?) runs it at 193 fps @ 1600x1200 (full detail) and it gets 13185 at 3DMark2001.
In a few posts I think I'll be sorry for posting my results...

Hehe.. well its totaly a fake review. Although the card is in fact real. I soldered all kinds of things on there for looks. :) Also the Rankor Killers is a totaly fake game and in my fake review its spelled "The Rankor Killers" not Rancor :P
I was just hopeing to lighten people up with this thing and make someone smile or laugh maybe. I found that most people get it and like it. The ones that take it serious though just did that, took it serious and was mad that I even done such a thing. Either way it is meant ONLY to make someone smile. Its not like anyone that has a clue about computers and or hardware wouldnt know that if they actualy read the specs and details on it. :)

So Hopefuly no one gets offended and or gets defensive at me. Only playen folks. :)

It clearly stated it's a fake review, and you have been pretty creative with the card!

To me, it's not unlikely that cards in the future will have specs like "this one", although it won't happen on AGP2

I put in the old magazine charts magazine results to show how fast things are really going. When Doom3 was released it was too much for even the most high end PC, and now look at Doom3/Quake4 performance with current setups. To be honoust, I'm surprised my card has put up with things for so long.

No doubt. DOOM3 was introduced with the Geforce 3 Ti200 I believe. I had the 9700pro, which smoked the GF3 and when D3 was finally released it still hickuped and burped all over if you put much mustard on at all. Someday you might be able to just upgrade the Video card that has the cpu upgrade built in also. Or somethen of that nature. :P

Thanks for the compliment and I am very glad you enjoyed the read. :)
