Need help: Netscape 8.12 locks up

I have been running this new version for about 1/2 month. About 4 days ago, with almost any operation, whether browsing the internet or not, with simple function like editing the setting at the Option page, the software temporary locks up, for about 15 to 20 sec.

Then it will run for a few minutes, and the above happens again.

So I created a new profile, and it works without any lock up for about 4 hr. Now it's happening again.

Any clue?

On the Start Menu, it doesn't have an entry under Netscape 8, although I can go to add/remove prog. and it shows "Remove Only".

Should I just go with that? My guts tell me that won't make any difference.

1) Uninstall Netscape.

2) If using WindowsXP do a roll-back to the last good day.

3) Use Mozilla Firefox.

That's was my first choice. I'll do an uninstall, it's something I always done at the beginning. But my guts tells me this is a bug. We'll see
