Bush wins, Kerry Loses!

A wide-ranging, passionate and surprisingly well-behaved discussion proving that SPCR geeks are far from apolitical. 8)

EUNOS: I have a suspicion that if the fridge were 'soft mounted' - that is, sitting upon some soft material like thick rubber - a lot less vibrations would transfer across the room. Even better would be suspending it.
the idea of a fridge hanging from shock cord in a kitchen made me fall out of my chair

Hello,

I hereby nominate this post to the Hall of Fame. It sums up an entire 4 page thread in 1 post. 8)

For some reason the links to all these threads are not working for me... what's going on?

90% of the threads linked here from before 2007 were purged in 2010. I might be off on the numbers but the concept is sound. You are looking for really old content that no longer exists.

Some of them do still exist so if you feel like digging through the thread you can find the ones that do.

Please delete any posts on this thread posted in 2011 (including this one), this thread should be reserved for the best, and preserved for the "best of the past", the "Hall of Fame" is enough of a description, lets keep it to that - all of the posts from 2011 are total shit, destroy it I say (including this post).

This is one of the best threads I've seen in ages, not only here at SPCR, but on the entire intraweb. I stumbled upon it after the first three posts:
