about to a pc from http://www.buildyourbox.co.uk/ where i can customise my PC and was getting a PC with a Core i7 3960X wanted to know if i get a Asus Rampage IV Formula X79 Motherboard over a Asus P9X79 Pro Intel X7 will there be a decent performance increase if any?

Rampage is the top of the line mobo for Asus, they usually have more features that most of the OC like, a lot of times more tweakable or with more options than their lower end, but it really depends on your needs, but hey you already going with a $1000 CPU, so i would go with the Rampage. You probably will find more info in a OCing forum, not many here go for such an expensive / powerful CPU.

If you're getting a 'custom' PC from some website get the cheapest option. Something tells me you won't be overclocking.
