I plan to switch to Vista64 Home Premium (already have an OEM license) but I don't know how to import my (upto) 9-year old e-mail 'bag'.
When reinstalling XP I always copied over the *.dbx files (Inbox, Outbox, etc) and it worked fine.
But I don't know if the same method works in Vista64. A friend told me it won't work. Please advise, thank you in advance.
Importing e-mails from XP to Vista64?

That's likely because there is no Outlook Express in Vista. It's Windows Mail now.
Here's a small article detailing the process of importing the dbx files.

You will probably be disapointed with the new e-mail thngy that has replaced Outlook Express. Just like everything else MS have done with Vista, they have changed it about a lot, just for the sake of it.
You might be better off installing Office 2003 and importing your e-mails into that.
And then of course there are several free e-mail programs such as Thunderbird to chose from instead.

Mozilla thunderbird is a really nice email client, and open source, freeware etc. The enlish version can be found here.
It is way faster than outlook and outlook express.
Open Office is something you can always try for free
