Were northgate keyboard really that good?
Anandtech is reviewing a mechanical keyboard and I see some user posts on northgate keyboard. Can someone comment?

The are the most robust keyboard I have ever seen. They also have an extra set of Function keys on the left side. All of them that I have seen are AT keyboards, so that alone tells you how long they last and how much folks who use them like them.

from what Ive heard the tactile feel of the keyboard is something you have to feel to believe it. I wish I could!!!

They were built like tanks, they weighed quite a bit for a keyboard.
They were the Mercedes of keyboards, so some status was associated with them.
At the time other keyboards were very much on the low quality side.
