Internet Explorer-What happened to my default site setting?

Internet Explorer-What happened to my default site setting?

It was there until recently. Now I reset it, apply it, and hit OK.
As soon as I exit it's gone, blank is all I get.

What's going on?

I found this and I use SpyBot but I can not find the settings LOCK IE.... to turn off. No settings are shown on the page mentioned.

I also can not locate the NoSetHomePage entry in my registry (Windows Vista 32 bit).
Yes, I'm a duh! Sue me.

Sounds like a great time step into the new millennium and ditch IE.

SRware iron or firefox FTW.

That should be my choice, not forced into it.

Something about either SpyBot or BitDefender. Not sure which.
